As Sean so elloquently put it, “These things just write themselves.”
That’s the Skype logo, in case you couldn’t figure it out. That’s the Allan Skype chatroom.
Anyway, it’s late and I have to be up early for school tomorrow! So I will leave you with a link to the new Future Universe comic!

Sometimes I like playing with different color techniques. This one isn’t very cohesive, but it gets the job done. Also who can say no to a compound color scheme? Not me, apparently.
There was a new The Future Universe update, as well! I know there aren’t a lot of pages, yet. That’s part of the fun!
More soon.
Here’s an update just because it’s Saturday! Though, I mean, I’m uploading this on Saturday but I guess it will be Sunday’s update? No one reads comics on Sundays, anyway.
Things are beginning to settle down here at home. I’m enjoying having a desk to myself, again, and Amanda is enjoying having a bedroom. After a week here, we’re both enjoying the place a lot.
More tomorrow!
This marks not only the end of The Change, but the end of moving to a new place, and the return of my internet connection! Life just keeps getting better and better.
I’ve been drawing these on the bus in pencil so don’t think of it as “messier;” instead: BONUS SKETCHINESS. Another update soon!
It has been a tough couple of months, guys, but it was all worth it to find the place we’re moving to this weekend. We couldn’t be happier with the place, and hopefully a better work environment and our own space will really help us survive. I don’t know if you can tell, but I am done with this storyline. Not “done” like, “I did it justice and it is complete” but “done” like, “I hate this part of my life and don’t want to revisit it ever again. Not for a while anyway.”
So yeah, done.
Check out The Future Universe.
This one’s all messy because it was done on the bus!
I’m not sure that this is the end of this storyline. Nope. I think there’s a bit left. Yep. Just a bit.
Oh and The Future Universe updated a day early. [PG2: Pomp and Circumstance]
Upon reading this comic, Amanda said, “I was wondering when you were going to just give up and do this.”
Me too, tbh.
Anywho, I want to summarize a bunch of stuff over the course of 2-3 comics. So that’s what I’m doing. More to wrap up this story soon!
Just a good ol’, old-fashioned black-and-whiter today. I drew this one in ballpoint pen and hoo boy I just love drawing in ballpoint pen sometimes.
Anyway, I might or might not continue this for one or two more pages. I have a lot of things to say about inspiration, you guys.
Thanks for reading! More tomorra’.
Don’t worry, it’s all work I actually want to do (on top of a little homework), so hooray eustress!
So it’s been hectic. I’ve been struggling with keeping up with my workload and maintaining an online presence, as well as battling with inspiration and confidence. These are all things I wanted to make comics about, but I feel like I’ve lost my “oomph” when it comes to “The Change,” which is disappointing, because I really thought I had a solid storyline. That’s life, though. Sometimes you think everything will culminate into one, grand moment of exuberance, but instead it just gets dragged out and there really is no “Oh, so that’s what all this was for.”
So for now, I’m going to make comics about whatever I want. I may wrap up The Change in a few strips (I was actually planning on dragging it out to strip 1000, can you believe that??), but either way I want to get a solid week of comics out of this “vacation.”
Speaking of comics, I’m sure I’ve talked about The Future Universe enough to pique a few peoples’ interests (and confuse the rest). Well I’m happy to say that my cohort Wasson and I now have a script, and rough intermediary work is being done to start on the webcomic.
But in the meantime, here’s a Cover to ogle (color inspiration for today’s strip taken from aforementioned color).
So today while waiting for the bus I told myself to buckle down and strap in because I was in for a bumpy comic-making ride! A million terrible lines later and a hundred bumps on a bus and this beauty of a comic was done! Hoo hoo. Also, no color yet. It is 3 AM. This is my life.
And let’s be honest, fellas. We’re all a little self-conscious of some part of our bodies. Mine just happens to be my facial hair. If you ever want to see me cry, insult my stubble! I swear I will hate you forever!
In other news, I have been so busy that my school is literally trying to throw money at me. This is a good thing. But this has meant less time for comics. In my free time between school and sleep I mostly edit The Future Universe stuff. Beyond that, I spend too much time overachieving on weekend homework assignments (if you’d like to check out the TFU Flash Video Game I made, GO HERE). Tell me what you think ya doofus!
More soon!
