Maybe my mom didn’t know everything, after all…?
So I sent the full book to the printers to get a test printed. I should have a copy of that within 2 weeks, and then I place the order for the final version. It’s all very exciting and reliving!
As for other things, here’s a new TFU!
Hope you guys had a good weekend! More soon!
Classic Allan
We call him Winie or Fred. He sings along when I play guitar and goes limp when I pick him up. He’s pretty freggin’ spoiled and likes things only a certain way!
Here’s a bonus panel. I promise it’s not the same one from the comic.
More soon.
When I’m working this usually happens. One of Amanda’s hairs will get stuck to the side of my face or something while I’m sleeping and once I start working it’ll start poking me just lightly enough that I never really know where the hair is…
…I guess could could say hair has been on my MIND.
…
So I’ve been doing this thing over on tumblr where I asked people to give me 3-5 adjectives and I’d try and make a TFU creature or race or something out of it. It’s good practice for me. Scroll through here to check out the newest stuff.
I hope Game of Thrones is still somehow relevant???? I am way behind, television-wise, guys, so I hope you guys can take pity on me mocking this.
Here’s a bonus comic to make it all better.
Have you seen the newest TFU?
Two-parter, I think. Do you guys get the title? Talk about a bad pun! My favorite.
As you have undoubtedly noticed, I’ve increased the standard size on these last two comics. Strip strip has been growing, from any random size on Drunk Duck, to 250 px wide here, then up to 300, and 350. Now we’re at 500. I am enjoying it in lieu of the additional visual discrepancies; you know me—I love my sketchy strips.
Also just been practicing a brush technique I’ve been working with in The Future Universe.
The book is so close I can taste it. I’m on the verge of sending a copy to the printers to make sure it all works the way it’s supposed to. Despite my struggle with the process, I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to learn this book-making process first-hand. Other people dream about making a book, you guys have helped me realize that dream. Thank you.

I guess all those braces were for nothing!
Have you guys been reading The Future Universe? There’s 10 pages, not including the cover! Wow!
More soon!
This strip is dedicated to all those amazing people who found my comic and read it in one sitting. I don’t know what it feels like to digest 3+ years of a person’s psyche overnight, but jeez louise I take your fascination as a complement!
The book is coming along well. A little slower than anticipated but it’s nearing completion.
I have a bit of a personal goal to continue updating throughout the summer as regularly as possible, but I fear I might become ominous after a while. I’ll try and keep things chipper, alright guys??!
More soon.
I’ve done a few blasphemous things lately, namely for mi escuela, but luckily now that blasphemy can end. It’s finished! The God of Summer has returned and purged the sin from my soul. Comics for everyone.
More updates soon!
As Sean so elloquently put it, “These things just write themselves.”
That’s the Skype logo, in case you couldn’t figure it out. That’s the Allan Skype chatroom.
Anyway, it’s late and I have to be up early for school tomorrow! So I will leave you with a link to the new Future Universe comic!
Sometimes digital is a nice break, especially when the subject matter pertains to technology!
Anyway, I don’t have anything to say. More later!
